The Sinfonietta Cracovia once again host guests who play in one of the best orchestras in the world on the daily basis! The newest instalment of the Viennese with Sinfonietta cycle brings not just one but two of them! The double role of the soloist and conductor will be taken by the first violinist of the Viennese Philharmonic – Rainer Honeck. The second Viennese artists is somehow Cracovian: Jurek Dybał combines the role of Sinfonietta Cracovia’s artistic director with playing double bass in the Viennese Philharmonic Orchestra. They meet on a truly special occasion: the birthday of Giovanni Bottesini (b. 22 December 1821 – d. 7 July 1889), Italian composer and conductor but foremost the virtuoso of the greatest of the strong instruments, known also as the Paganini of the double bass.
