On a Mote of Dust in a Sunbeam is a part of the international project UN-LOCKED, curated by Chiara Seidl (www.project.unlocked.com)
The German artist collective presents an installation in their Krakow debut. The installation's poetically unifying elements are based on a common photographic language. Männel, Bayer, and Schwarzmeier draw inspiration and conduct research in their respective works by observing their surroundings. They approach time, space, light, and form in individual processes and enter into a common dialogue through their experimental approach of deconstruction and connection. Carl Sagans quote "Look again at that dot. That's here, that's home, that's us." encapsulates their spirit. It visually represents the connections between microcosm and macrocosm and encourages visitors to gain a new perspective on belonging and connectedness.
