Poland’s first monographic exhibition of original works by the artist who made an important mark on photography of the first half of the 20th century comes to the Museum of Photography in Kraków. The presentation includes portraits of artists, actors, politicians and other acclaimed personalities of the interwar period, taken by Steichen for “Vogue” and “Vanity Fair” magazines. The now iconic images of celebrities of the time, inspired by Modernism, cinema and Art Deco, revolutionised fashion, advertising and commercial photography of the period.
