Kiermash comes to you with our spring event! We planned to see you in March, but the war in Ukraine prompted us to postpone the events.
During our spring event, we presents the possibility to help the Ukrainians. #staywithUkraine Kiermash is not only a fashion initiative. With Kiermash we inspire and discover… also the city! This year will be full of many surprises, the first of which is the location of the spring edition - the Main Post Office in Cracow.
If you do not know who we are yet: Kiermash fair is an independent fashion and design fair where you can find everything in the ethical and responsible spirit of #lesswaste! We promote a sustainable and responsible approach to shopping and broadly understood fashion. You will find Polish brands that create original, ethical products made with respect for our planet. Each of the exhibitors creates with great passion, thanks to which everything you will find at the Kiermash (along with the atmosphere) is unique.
In response to current events across our eastern border, we are sending aid to our neighbors and we also encourage you to do so. All hands on deck!
As part of the fair, you will find 4 initiatives that you will be able to support:
- "Kramik Kiermash", where you will find products of our exhibitors and Kiermash friends - all available for token donations. All the proceeds will be donated to the Zustricz Foundation for those in need in Ukraine.
- The Polish-Ukrainian Zustricz Foundation (operating in Krakow) will collect money for the benefit of Ukrainians and Ukraine. Zustricz works on many levels, is in constant contact with help points and the population in Ukraine, so have some cash ready for them.
- SZAFA DOBRA - an initiative created in Galeria Plaza, aimed at supporting people fleeing the war with free clothes. We encourage you to donate new (or in very good condition) clothes and accessories needed in this difficult time, we will deliver them to the Wardrobe of Good.
- Salam Lab, an organization that has been supporting refugees for years. You can support them with new women's and men's underwear. At the moment they will mainly need NEW SOCKS.
Our idea is to create an ethical, responsible and sustainable fashion and design space.
This is also the place of the spring Kiermash Klub Poczta Główna:
The Poczta Główna club is a new meeting place in a tenement house on the corner of Westerplatte and Wielopole streets. Until recently, this majestic building from the end of the 19th century housed the Main Post Office. Retro interiors on the ground floor, divided with glass blocks, housed folded queues crowded with people full of hopes that the package, letter, or cable would reach the addressee quickly. (...)
The interior of the club is a total zero waste style - in the retro spaces of the "Expresik" Pocztowiec Club we have combined recycled furniture, worn out by time and with sentiment reminiscent of the communist period, centuries-old treasures found in the attic of my aunt and furniture saved from being transported to waste. We didn't interfere much with the original decor, which delighted us and decided to make only cosmetic corrections. This is how a tasteful hybrid was created, combining old and new, retro and modern, nostalgia with a joyful look into the future.
If you are missing Kiermash atmosphere, as your wardrobes are missing a spring breeze…. We are coming for the rescue with the top Polish brands creating in the spirit of ethical and local design.
