The students and graduates of Photography at the Film School in Lodz invite you to the third edition of the ID_tentity exhibition. Young visual artists under the supervision of Hubert Humka will present their artwork in Małopolski Ogród Sztuki at 12 Rajska Street in Krakow. The vernissage will take place on the 20th of November, 2021 at 6pm. The event is being organized by the Film School in Lodz in association with Fundacja Pauza and Teatr im. J. Słowackiego in Krakow.

Uncertainty, pain, fantasy, fun or mutiny are some of the concepts presented in the exhibition. They concern dealing with childhood traumas, attempting to live up to people’s expectations, the desire to shape one’s life in his/her own way, and confronting the dreams about oneself with the reality. ID_tentity is a project that is constantly being modified. It is a collective statement from young artists, which mainly consists of questions. Who am I? Who I want to be and why? Am I defined by some sort of affiliation or exclusion? Similarities to others or differences? Is my identity complete and ready to be discovered? Or maybe it’s something to be continuously created and conceptualized throughout life? The exhibition is a result of our concerns. It is not a thesis, a comprehensive definition, a conclusion, or a manifesto. This is the voice of uncertainty that is not helpless, after all. We are presenting our ways of discoveries, the processes of changes, and the forms of expression. We are trying to find ourselves in our own past and present, within ourselves and in others. By comparing, differentiating, narrating, playing and suffering, we are asking ourselves and you some questions.
