The exhibition presented in the heart of Kraków at Bracka 13, offers a radically different approach to this story. Rather than projec-tions or digital effects, it proposes a fully immersive, physical journey through the environments that shaped Van Gogh’s life. Across 32 rooms and 1,500 square metres, visitors move from the quiet interiors of his Dutch childhoodto the bustling galleries of Paris, from the darkness of the Borinage mines tothe luminous landscapes of Arles and the final intensity of Auvers-sur-Oise. Each space is conceived as a chapter, allowing visitors to experience the artist’s trajectory step by step, as a lived reality.Curated with scientific precision by Wouter van der Veen and developed within the framework of the Van Gogh Academy, the exhibition guarantees the highest standards of historical and scientific accuracy. The exhibition also featuresa selection of exceptional “Museum Editions” — high-precision reproductions developed by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, replicating the original works down to the micron in size, colour, and texture. Together, these elements offer a rare opportunity: not only to encounter Van Gogh’s work, but to under-stand the life, the context, and the urgency that made it possible.

A word from the curator:
“Van Gogh & Vincent” was created from a simple conviction: behind the myth stands a real human being. Too often, Vincent van Gogh has been reduced to clichés — the mad genius, the instinctive painter, the tragic outsider. This exhi-bition invites visitors to discover a different Vincent: a thoughtful, determined and deeply human person, whose art was shaped as much by hard work and reflection as by talent. For me, this project represents the culmination of more than twenty-seven years spent exploring Van Gogh’s world and gradually uncovering the man behind the legend. Through immersive storytelling, rare documents and powerful visual experiences, I wanted to share that exceptional closeness with the public.
