Andreas Ottensamer has achieved a great deal on his artistic path: the position as first clarinettist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon (as the label's first-ever clarinet virtuoso), Opus Klassik for the instrumentalist of the year, and the position of artistic director of the Bürgenstock Festival. As it turned out, this is not all. In 2021, the artist also began his career behind the conductor's desk, immediately as an assistant to the stars: Riccardo Muti, Sir Simon Rattle and Christian Thielemann, and later independently with ensembles such as the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Gulbenkian or Mozarteum. This spring, Andreas Ottensamer will return as a guest of the Sinfonietta Cracovia, with which he has already performed twice as a condcuctor. The other invited guests will be the Książek Piano Duo – Krzysztof Książek and Agnieszka Zahaczewska-Książek will perform Sándor Veress’s Hommage à Paul Klee on two pianos, inspired by the paintings of the Swiss-German painter.
