The band was formed on the initiative of Michal Dymny, who is the author of both music and lyrics. Sour Noir is made up of experienced musicians, known for their activity in such formations as AcidSitter, Neal Cassady, Fraktale, Krwinki, Nucleon, Tumbling Walls, Kaseciarz, Rajka, Łotry, Limboski.
