What are we going to become in a world where intelligence is no longer exclusively a human trait? We are going to search for the answer to this question during the International AI Art Biennale, which will take place on 6-20 March in Krakow. The programme will feature exhibitions, a conference, workshops, performances and debates that bring together art, science and technology. The event is organised by the SWPS University's Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies in Kraków.

The theme of the first edition of the Biennale is Creative Dialogue and Education with AI. The event focuses on phenomena concerning artificial intelligence in culture and the arts, as well as its role in science, education and technology. The aim is to take a closer look at the relationship between humans and AI - their shared creativity, educational potential and ethical challenges.

These themes will be present in the exhibition [Un]conscious Algorithms - some parts of which will be on display at Potocki Palace and Bunkier Sztuki Art Gallery. The exhibition offers neither technological enthusiasm nor nostalgic opposition to machines. Instead, it seeks a third space - a place where the algorithm becomes a medium, a partner and sometimes an unpredictable co-author, all in order to force a redefinition of concepts such as authorship, intent and responsibility.

A highlight of the International AI Art Biennale will be a conference at the Cogiteon Małopolska Science Centre. It is an invitation for a joint reflection on how AI is transforming science, art and education, and how it affects our everyday practices, knowledge models and social relations. The participants of the conference and the exhibition attendees will be accompanied by the Biennale Bot, an interactive AI guide which will talk to speakers and the audience and guide them through the exhibition.
