In 2024, Tae-Yeon Kim, a young 17-year-old cellist from South Korea, with a captivating performance of Witold Lutosławski's Concerto in the finals, won the international competition named after the composer. The artist will perform the same work at the Kraków Philharmonic, and the programme of the oratorio concert will be complemented by Anton Bruckner's Mass No. 2 in E minor for double mixed choir and wind orchestra and Benjamin Britten's Sinfonia da Requiem.
