We are slowly getting used to the idea that we are bidding farewell to the summer of open-air concerts in Kraków with bands representing various styles of guitar-fronted music – the Rockowizna Festival is taking place on the last weekend of August for the fifth time. The top spots in the line-up for this year’s edition are taken by two international acts. The headliner on the first day of the event is Lord of the Lost, a band whose sound blends metal with dark, Gothic and industrial elements, and who represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023. The Italian band Lacuna Coil combines heavy sounds with melodies and the vocal harmonies of Andrea Ferro and Cristina Scabbia. The third international act is Kid Kapichi - a British band, who were once praised by Liam Gallagher himself. They will be joined by the Swedish garage quartet Royal Republic, who are already well known in Poland. The Poles did not take the matter lightly and also fielded a strong line-up, with Acid Drinkers, Nocny Kochanek, Pull the Wire and The Analogs taking to the stage on Friday, and Coma, Dżem, Zenek Grabowski and Romantycy Lekkich Obyczajów joining the headliners on Saturday.
