These concerts sell out long before we know who will perform; however, there is some unusual magic at work here that only happens once every five years – we are in for a performance by one of the laureates of the 19th Chopin Competition! The artist will play one of the Polish composer’s piano concertos, and his/her presence on stage of the Kraków Philharmonic will be the highlight of the 80th anniversary of the founding of PWM Edition – the oldest, largest, and for years the only music publishing house in Poland.
