Partnership, the dialogue of voices, the intimacy of relationships – in this festival, we get what is most beautiful in chamber music. The concerts of the 12th Kraków Music Autumn will be spread between the Baroque and the contemporary: from Bach to Piazzolla (the Chopin Piano Duo played at two pianos) and from Bach to Widłak (Zbigniew Pilch on Baroque violin). The significant chamber music output of Beethoven and Schumann will be reached by the cello-piano duo Mathias Gredler and Stefan Stroissnig and the Trio Legend, which will also present Solar Rays by the American Aaron Alter, a jazz song that took the form of a piano trio with a ‘singing’ violin. Human voice will also be strongly present: mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kulig – accompanied by piano but also flute – will perform songs by Karłowicz, Morawski and Richard Strauss.
