The music of French Baroque was highly influenced by the most prominent man in France at the time. Louis XIV, the Sun King, danced in ballets as a teenager, and as an adult he decided the fate of music in France through his choice of court musicians. The works that resounded in the 17th-century Paris and Versailles will be the main focus of the concert by the Baroque Orchestra of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków.

Michel-Richard de Lalande (1657-1726) Concert de Trompettes pour les fetes le Canal de Versailles
Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643-1704) Te Deum. Prelude
Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-1687) Suite from Les Bourgeois gentilhomme
Michel-Richard de Lalande Les Fontaines de Versailles. Chaconne
