This time, the theme of this unique urban picnic will be locality, with markets being its most colourful and yet practical dimension. The meadow in Kraków’s historic Wesoła district, right next to the city centre, will host exhibitors offering organic fruit and vegetables, as well as cheese, honey and handicrafts – all from producers from the surrounding municipalities.
Visitors can look forward to gardening and wickerwork workshops, as well as stories about the life of... hedgehogs. We will look at the machines that greenery maintenance workers use on a daily basis in their work: the occasion is this year’s 10th anniversary of the Urban Greenery Administration. We will receive gardening, dendrological or design advice and take part in a quiz where plant seedlings will be prizes.
Throughout the day, Kids’ Zone with “vegetable animations” and a unique obstacle course will be open.
The whole event, organised by the Urban Greenery Administration and numerous partners, will conclude (from 5pm) with a concert by the Ethno Garden band.
