A dance performance, carried by the wind, transcending generational, territorial, and artistic boundaries, created by choreographer and performer Monika Szpunar. HOLD ONTO THE WIND was developed in collaboration with international and interdisciplinary artists, as well as senior individuals encountered during a series of creative workshops.
The performance is inspired by a saying from Monika’s dear Aunt Józia, who greeted her with the words: “Hold on to the wind.” What or who is the wind worth holding on to? Where does the desire to capture the uncapturable lead us?
HOLD ONTO THE WIND draws inspiration from nature, particularly the phenomenon of wind, and comes to life through the connection between people. It moves between the wisdom of the past and the present moment, seeking to tame the experience of (in)coherence.
During the performance, a small group of audience members will be invited to experience the performance from within, joining the performer on stage.
