Anu Tali is an excellent addition to Sinfonietta Cracovia’s series of concerts introducing the Kraków audience to personalities of the European classical music scene. The Estonian conductor is distinguished by a fresh perspective and intriguing repertoire choices; this time, during her second visit to our city, these choices will result in a concert filled with music from her homeland: the sounds of the North that are mysterious and raw, yet pulsating with emotions. The programme will include works by Erkki-Sven Tüür – a specialist in dynamic contrasts, a cinematic suite by Tõnu Kõrvitsa – one of the most important contemporary Estonian composers, the Polish premiere of Five Arabesques by Alisson Kruusmaa and the mesmerising composition Tabula Rasa by Arvo Pärt – a master of minimalism who is celebrating his 90th birthday this year.
