Krzysztof Marchlak: Sleeping Beauty

In his projects, the artist addresses issues related to the body, individual and collective identity and socio-cultural gender. The exhibition presents portraits in the form of diptychs that depict Polish drag queens during and after applying stage make-up. The photographs demonstrate the causal power of clothing, which helps the creation and fluid changing of identity. The exhibition also features a film by Weronika Plińska and Wojciech Jankowski, dedicated to the work of Krzysztof Marchlak.
