The Swell Season at two concerts in Poland! The duo, known for their award-winning music for the film and musical "Once", will perform on May 23 at the Studio club in Krakow and on May 24 at the Stodoła club in Warsaw.
After a few sold-out concerts in March 2022, and a tour in the USA in 2023, The Swell Season is back with a European tour! Markéta Irglová and Glen Hansard gained popularity in 2007, when they appeared in the film "Once". The following year, they won an Oscar in the category of Best Original Song for the song "Falling Slowly". The soundtrack also garnered two Grammy nominations. After her self-titled debut album (2006), The Swell Season released the album Strict Joy (2009).
In 2012, the musical Once debuted, winning 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Over the past decade, Once, in its various iterations, has become a modern classic and a cultural touchstone, being referenced in shows such as The Simpsons and Ted Lasso. This modern masterpiece has created a unique and loyal fan base around the world.
In recent years, Irglová has released 3 solo albums, while Hansard fans have enjoyed 5 studio albums. The latest, All That Was East Is West Of Me Now, was released in 2023.
