The spring and summer of 2025 in the Royal Gardens of Wawel Castle will belong to sculptures by Magdalena Abakanowicz.
The artist’s sculptural works operate with an effect of surprise resulting from the tension between the similarity of her sculptures to the human body and their scale, the mode of representation, simplification and defragmentation. Abakanowicz’s sculptures express belief in the possibility of presenting what is hidden. As intended by the author of the works, the exhibition creates a space for building a new relationship between the spectator and her works and the place where they are presented.
