‘Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord’ – these words of St Paul from the Letter to the Ephesians are fulfilled in a special way in an event that brings together all institutions training church musicians in the Kraków Archdiocese. Kantorei Sankt Barbara, Gaudete, Psalmodia, Veni Lumen, Pueri Cantores Sancti Joseph, the Mariański Choir and other choirs will perform in churches throughout Kraków. The capabilities of the organ, an instrument so important in liturgy, will be showcased in a recital by Wawel Cathedral organist Witold Zalewski or in the 13th Kraków Competition for Young Organists. The programme included also a Mass and Vespers in honour of St Cecilia – the 19th Church Music Days in the Kraków Archdiocese are held around the memory of the patron saint of church music that is celebrated in the Catholic Church on 22 November.
