19th Krakow Jazz Autumn

Associated with the Alchemia club, the festival invariably presents what is most current and interesting in improvised music. This year's programme includes twelve concerts. Half of them will take place under the Blue Shroud Band residency – with small line-ups on the stage of Alchemia (19–22 November) and a full line-up of improvisers at the Manggha Museum (23–24 November). The ensemble of festival regular, composer, improviser and instrumentalist Barry Guy will celebrate a decade of existence. In 2014, the group presented their work The Blue Shroud in Kraków – they will do so again on 23 November. The finale of the jubilee celebration will be opened by special guests ADAM Quartet, and the Blue Shroud Band will perform a composition all this this here. The programme of the Krakow Jazz Autumn will also feature sounds of varying intensity – acoustic and electric instruments as well as the human voice will play the leading roles here.
