For more than 20 years, the musical meetings organised by the Kraków Philharmonic at the Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University have been enjoying an unfading popularity thanks to their programme of chamber music complemented by lectures given by professors of various specialties.

This season, the meetings with chamber music will bring piano trios and quintets, horn quintet and – not to be missed! – string quartet. We will hear Baroque works by Albinoni, classical compositions by Mozart, Chopin’s Romantic pieces, as well as Arioso and Scherzo by 20th-century composer Arnold Cooke. During the January concert, we will reminisce about Juliusz Zarębski on the 140th anniversary of the death of Polish composer who died prematurely from tuberculosis, author of Piano Quintet in G minor, considered to be the most exquisite work of Polish Romantic chamber music.
