Have you ever heard a 100 voices choir in Kraków's outdoor scenery? This amazing opportunity awaits us this month, as The People’s Show Choirs, one of the United Kingdom's premier massed amateur choir networks announces three May concerts:

28 May (Tuesday), 5 pm - Small Market Square
29 May (Wednesday), 6.30 pm - square in front of the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre
30 May (Thursday), 6 pm - square in front of Old Synagogue

On these unusual stages for the choir we will hear, among others: songs by Madonna and Elton John, the greatest hits from "Frozen" and "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring", as well as musical songs, including "When I grow up" from the musical version of the film "Matilda". Let's start the long weekend in a musical way!

The Peoples Show Choirs operate under the umbrella of The People's Orchestra Charity, a non-profit organisation led by Sarah Marshall, combining musical passion with charity activities. The charity's mission is to promote the joy and benefits of music-making while fostering a strong sense of community and creating opportunities for individuals through musical engagement. 625 singers from diverse backgrounds and locations across the country are united by their shared passion for music. The choirs' innovative approach brings together individuals from various professions, such as nurses, teachers, tradesmen, and civil servants, to perform popular tunes while simultaneously providing opportunities for local residents, combating loneliness and social isolation, and strengthening community bonds.
Under the expert guidance of Ula Weber and with the support of a dedicated professional staff team, The People’s Show Choirs was honoured with the prestigious Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, the equivalent of an MBE for voluntary organisations.
