Setting His Own Path
His life has always been full of music. He learned to play instruments from an early age, and he made his debut in front of a major audience singing Verdi’s arias at the Colosseum in Rome. Matteo Bocelli reached global acclaim a few years later when he recorded Fall on Me with his world-famous father: the acclaimed tenor Andrea. The vocalist treaded some of the world’s greatest stages at his father’s side and quickly became a favourite of critics and audiences alike, including in Poland. He is now taking up a new challenge. In autumn, he is launching his debut pop album titled simply Matteo, followed by his first ever solo tour. One of the stops along his journey will be the ICE Kraków Congress Centre, where he appears a few days after his 26th birthday. (Bartosz Suchecki, Kraków Culture)
