The Italian Cultural Institute invites to a recital by the Italian pianist Ingrid Carbone.
Ingrid Carbone began her musical education in Italy at the Music Conservatory in Cosenza, her hometown, where at the age of 19 she obtained a piano diploma in the class of Francesco Monopoli. She also studied in Italy under Sergio Cafaro at Accademia Musicale Pescarese and Hectora Pell at the Curci Academy of Music (Barletta). She perfected her skills under the supervision of Aquilesa delle Vigne in Brussels and in Mozarteum in Salzburg. Then she studied in Italy under Eduardo Ogando in Rome, Lazaro Berman in Florence and most recently with Cristiano Burato. She successfully participated in national and international piano competitions. In 2015 she received the most important awards: she won the first prize at the Erik Satie International Music Competition in Lecce (Italy) and at the IBLA Grand Prix Competition, New York IBLA Foundation. She was invited to the jury of international piano competitions on several occasions. She has given recitals and chamber music concerts in Italy for several associations, foundations and theaters. As a soloist she has also performed in Austria, Germany, Slovenia and Spain. Since 2007, he regularly plays with the Italian violinist Eugenio Prete. She is an eclectic personality and one of her passions is mathematics. At the age of 21, she graduated from the University of Calabria with a summa cum laude.
