The exhibition is located on the ground floor of the north-eastern corner of the castle. It is related to the historic institution of the Crown Treasury once located here, which was a visible sign of the independence of the Kingdom of Poland, and later of the Commonwealth of the Two Nations.
In July 2022, one of the main permanent exhibitions at Wawel Royal Castle has been reopened following a major metamorphosis. Poland's most important collection of national memorabilia and treasures is now presented at a modern exhibition reaching for state-of-the-art technologies. The New Crown Treasury covers a space three times larger than before to showcase even more artworks.
