Jazz Night (16 July) is held as part of the Kraków Nights project organised by the Department of Culture and National Heritage at the Kraków City Office.
Performances kick off at the Small Market Square with the legendary 1980s formation Young Power followed by the trumpeter Philip Lassiter with his funk-soul ensemble. The Globus club welcomes the guitarist Chuck Frazier playing an expressive blend of funk, soul, blues, jazz and rock, the Cloth Hall resounds with Wolfgang Muthspiel, while the Piwnica Pod Baranami presents Funk The Night. There are plenty of Polish artists to recommend, including Grzegorz Dowgiałło (Princes Czartoryski Museum), Irek Głyk Vibes Expression (Potocki Palace), Electric Machine Grochotobot (Single Scena), Agnieszka Grochowicz with Bogdan Hołownia (Kurant) and the Mateusz Gawęda trio (Alchemia). The Białoprądnicki Manor resounds with the Błoto ensemble, Kuba Więcek with Paulina Przybysz and The Flash. (Bogdan Chmura, ”Kraków Culture” magazine)
