June Rhythms

24 June 2019

And not just music… Kraków Days, Theatre and Dance Nights, festivals and reviews, myriad outdoor parades, presentations and picnics – all this brings to mind a vast locomotive gaining speed and whisking us off with it, wheels rattling a rhythm on the tracks and the whistle tooting at any obstacles! But where is this train taking us? To Kraków’s streets, squares and parks, to the Vistula Boulevards, under skies of blue, filled with stars or exploding with fireworks… We will see dragons cavorting all over the city, avoid (or seek out?) strikes from a mace wielded by a Tatar warrior riding a hobby horse, listen to Syrian poetry or a Jewish musician from Buenos Aires, and dance to delicious folk music. We will explore the lives of Cracovian students during the Renaissance and admire the triumphal arrival of royal newlyweds at the city. To rest our weary eyes and feet, we’ll take a break at one of many Kraków Picnics.

We will also head to Nowa Huta to join in with the anniversary celebrations, and to Tauron Arena Kraków which marks its fifth birthday by hosting concerts by some of the world’s greatest stars. To Kazimierz teeming with life during the Jewish Culture Festival and the Wianki – Fête de la Musique; to Podgórze which has become the hottest destination of Kraków’s gourmands, to Dębniki, to the ICE Kraków Congress Centre to admire stands prepared by participants in the World Congress of the Organization of World Heritage Cities

Ready? Let’s board!
