The “Vasame” project combines music worlds, telling the story of love from the Iberian Peninsula regions in Portuguese and Ladino, but not only. The songs also resound in Greek, Hebrew, Spanish and Neapolitan.

Nothing tells the story of love as beautifully and truly as music. Love makes music more beautiful, and beautiful music adds color to feelings. This is the case all over the world. Sounds and songs, in different languages, speak of love. Each differently, but each beautifully. And it is about love, the one from different corners of the world, in several languages, that Kinga Rataj and Urszula Makosz will tell in their first joint project. Kinga is the only outstanding performer of fado music in Poland, one of the most interesting vocal discoveries in Poland in recent years. Urszula specializes in Jewish music, and is one of the few people in Poland performing the songs of Sephardic Jews.

The “Vasame” project combines two music worlds, telling the story of love from the Iberian Peninsula regions in Portuguese and Ladino, but not only. The songs also resound in Greek, Hebrew, Spanish and Neapolitan.

“Vasame” is:
Urszula Makosz – vocals
Kinga Rataj – vocals
Piotr Domagała – guitar
Paweł Pierzchała – piano
Oleg Dyyak – accordion, clarinet, duduk
Sławek Berny – percussion

Tickets (available online and at the Galicia Jewish Museum reception desk): 50 PLN (presale), 60 PLN (on the day of the concert).
