Brahms and Beethoven’s sonatas, Debussy’s Images, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at the Exhibition, Schumann’s Kreisleriana – this year’s International Royal Cracow Piano Festival focuses on music of the 19th and early 20th century. We will also hear works by Chopin, with performers including recent laureates of the Chopin Competition – Kate Liu (3rd prize, 2015) and Jakub Kuszlik (4th prize, 2021) –as well as Piotr Kowal and Davide Cabassi. Festival concerts resound in Kraków, as well as in Gorlice, Tarnowskie Góry and Nowy Sącz.
