This year, the town’s festivities commemorate the 730th anniversary of the death of the patron saint of Wieliczka miners.
Saint Kinga’s Days, the two fervent days full of fun, entertainment and good music, will take place in the square at ul. Dembowskiego, near the new Wieliczka railway station.
The invited performing artists include Janusz Radek, a master of original and unique interpretations, as well as the Wieliczka-based Gromee, regarded as one of the most popular DJs and music producers in Poland. We will also listen to Renata Przemyk and the Men: Czesław Mozil and Igor Herbut. It is worth mentioning that in the poll carried out by Polityka and Wprost, Przemyk was listed among the hundred most outstanding artists of the 20th century.
The programme of the festivities also includes a fishing competition, the Run for the Ring of Saint Kinga, as well as the tasting of Ukrainian delicacies and performances by regional bands. Saint Kinga’s Days will be culminated with a party animated by the DJ, which is each year enjoyed by both local inhabitants and visitors to Wieliczka.
