Once upon a time, Queen Bona strolled here with her entourage, pageboys chased one another under the Renaissance arcades, and foreign dignitaries hurried to pay homage to the King. Today, Wawel courtyards are filled with groups of tourists, and on selected summer evenings they are taken over by music.
Therefore, this is a festival worth coming to to appreciate its artists, to listen to excellent music and certainly to look around. It is the only one outdoor classical music event on that scale in Kraków and one of the few (or even THE one) taking place in the picturesque scenery of Wawel Royal Castle and its Arcaded and Batory courtyards.
