From 1 February MOCAK presents an exhibition devoted to Wisława Szymborska. The exhibition was prepared for the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the poet's death.
As part of a literary series in which we present literary masters as visual artists, in 2014 MOCAK hosted an exhibition of Wisława Szymborska (https://en.mocak.pl/collages), and produced a publication about the poet (bit.ly/3tSeGa6).
The current show includes – alongside the poet’s collages from the MOCAK Collection – copies of Polish editions of Szymborska’s poems, a selection of translations and monographs devoted to her, poetic posters by Ryszard Krynicki, and her private memorabilia – one of them her Nobel Prize medal, and portraits of Szymborska by Beata Stankiewicz, Leszek Sobocki and Krzysztof M. Bednarski.
The exhibition was produced in collaboration with the Wisława Szymborska Foundation and a5 Press.
