The Kraków Philharmonic recalls Polish Romantic composer Mieczysław Karłowicz who died at the age of 32 in an avalanche while skiing on an excursion in the Tatra Mountains in 1909.
The concert comprises two works by Karłowicz along Wojciech Kilar’s Kościelec 1909 and premiere of a symphonic poem penned by Rafał Stradomski and dedicated to Karłowicz as well as other avalanche victims.
