Polish Songs

“Songs must have lyrics”, sings Katarzyna Nosowska, and the organisers of the 14th “Korowód” Creative Festival add that they should be in Polish. When it comes to music, artists are given full freedom, and the “Piosenkarnia” National Competition for Artists and Performers resounds with ballads, cabaret songs, folk, rock, blues and pop. This year’s competition, public vote and recital by Oreada will be held online, while the live gala concert at the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre features Andrzej Poniedzielski, Andrzej Garczarek, Anna Treter, Zuza Wiśniewska and Olek Różanek. (Bartosz Suchecki, Kraków Culture)
