Even though Felix Mendelssohn never visited Kazimierz or even Kraków, his extensive, universal body of work makes him the perfect choice as the patron of the celebrations of chamber music which form an enduring part of the cultural programme of the former Jewish quarter. The 16th Felix Mendelssohn Music Days bring Spanish music, piano, organ and guitar recitals, as well as piano music for 4 hands. The inauguration concert of the festival is dedicated to the memory of Stanisław Lem, whose 100th birthday anniversary is celebrated all over the world, but especially in Kraków, in 2021.
