On this unique evening, it will not be the larks’ warbles at dusk, but the choir that is going to fill the charming alleys of the Botanical Garden of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, which is particularly enchanting at this season of the year. The concerts of the Kraków Opera Choir held in unique settings such as, among others, the Museum of the Polish Aviation or the Courtyard of the Royal Castle at the Wawel Hill, already have a long-standing tradition. This time, the backdrop for the choir arias will be flowers, greenery and nature which, after the bleak lock-down period, offer hope for the spring-time renewal of hearts and souls. This is what the choir singing is like - integrating and exciting.
We are going to hear the true hits of choir music, such as: Va pensiero from Verdi’s Nabucco, Polovetsian Dances from Borodin’s Prince Igor and After Vespers from Moniuszko’s Halka. There will also be some musical surprises. The choir will be accompanied by soloists - Agnieszka and Tomasz Kuk, as the duet from Otello and in their signature arias.
